We
sat around 7 pieces of paper shaped like a carrot. Anne cut them out into
14 carrot shapes and we moved them over to the corner so that we could
stick them together. We had some brown tape, water and sponges. Anne did
a demonstration, she got the sponge and the water, put the brown tape
on the wet sponge and did a Karate chop and stuck the tape on the carrot.
Next Anne asked us to carry on with the sticking.
We stuck all of the
pieces together like a big tent, then we cut out a circle for the base. We
used a pen tied to a string like a compass to mark it out.
On Friday we're going
to blow it up. There's going to be a little porthole for us to crawl inside
and we'll have to get on our hands and knees.

Building with Paper

"It's
easier to make it with than card because paper is easier to cut and things
and its easier to bend. card is tough"

In the morning we cut all of our cigars shapes out of big sheets of
paper. We started to stick them together with gum strip. We stuck the gum
strip by pulling it across the sponge with water in and putting it onto the
paper.

When we had finished doing that we pulled
it all out and it looked like a big wedding dress. We all had to work as a
team and if we were going to walk on the paper we couldn't run, the paper
was very thin.

" I was
surprised when I saw that massive paper. I've never seen massive paper like
that."
"We used some
brown tape and we had to put it on the sponge and pull it from under your
hand to make it sticky. It's shiny and slimy. "
"It was
really big. All of the rolls of paper were bigger than me and Glenn and Anne
were rolling them out on the floor."
