    "From Horse to Morse"

Commissioned by Weston Leisure Services Artstation created a horse dash to commemorate Marconi's world famous transmissions across the Severn estuary

The placing of a morse code message in flags down the beach by a horse backed rider  (Marconi  performed by Frank Rossler-Green) and assistants (Anne and Glenn) was seen  and then interpreted by the approximately 4000 people using the beach and promenade.

During the performance local radio enthusiasts club assisted the artists in handing  out cards with the morse code table on.

Travel from one end of the beach to the other by horse and rider, the placing of flag message  were intended as a simple symbolic act. The decoded message read "yes we were ready" in  answer to Marconi's first transmission message "are to ready ?"
